A Prayer for Women Who Are Almost Done | SEEN

Can I be honest with you for a second?

Not preacher honest. Not “everything happens for a reason” honest. Just — friend who sees you honest.

You’re tired. And not the kind of tired that a good night’s sleep fixes. It’s the kind that lives behind your eyes and sits in your chest and follows you into rooms you’re supposed to smile in. You’ve been carrying things nobody asked you about. Showing up when showing up cost you everything. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you started wondering if anyone actually sees how hard you’re working just to keep going.

I see you.

And more importantly — He does too.

This one’s for you.

A PRAYER OVER YOU

Lord,

She’s still here. And I need You to understand what that cost her — because she made it look easy when it was anything but.

She didn’t quit. Even when quitting looked like relief. Even when nobody would have blamed her. She stayed. She showed up. She kept going when going felt like bleeding.

Meet her where she is tonight. Not where she thinks she should be. Not where everyone else assumes she is. Right here. In the in-between. In the almost.

Remind her that running on empty doesn’t mean she’s running wrong. That the woman who is weary is not the woman who has failed. That tired is not a character flaw — it is evidence of everything she has carried and refused to drop.

Give her rest that actually rests her. Not just sleep, but the deep-down settling that only comes from You. Restore what’s been worn thin. Fill what’s been emptied out. Hold what she has been holding alone.

And when she wakes up — whether that’s tomorrow or next week or someday when the weight finally lifts — let her know she was seen here. In this. In the almost.

Amen.

Maybe you needed someone to say that over you before you could say anything yourself.

So now — if you have words, use them. And if you don’t, borrow these.

YOUR PRAYER

God,

I’m tired. Like really tired. And I don’t have a pretty way to say it.

I’ve been holding things I never asked to hold. Showing up when I had nothing left. Smiling when I was falling apart inside

I’m not quitting. But I need You to meet me right here — not on the other side of this. Right here, in the middle of it.

See me. Strengthen me. That’s all I’ve got tonight.

Amen.

BEFORE YOU GO

There’s a woman in the Bible named Hannah. And if you don’t know her story, here’s what you need to know right now — she was in a season where nothing looked like it was moving. No answers. No visible progress. Just her, her pain, and a God she refused to stop showing up for.

She kept going anyway.

She prayed when it hurt. She returned when she felt forgotten. She stayed faithful in a season that looked, from the outside, like nothing was happening.

But God saw every single step. And in His time — He moved.

You are in good company, friend. The woman who doesn’t stop even when progress isn’t obvious? She has always been one of His favorites.

We’re going to talk about Hannah more. We’re going to talk about a lot of women like her — women who kept going, women who were seen, women whose stories didn’t end where it looked like they would.

But for tonight, hold onto this:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

— Isaiah 40:31 KJV

You’re still here. That means God isn’t done yet.

Still here. Still His. And that’s enough.
— Cynn
